Genre cont.

Genre: what is a category in which the film fits in depending on it's content. Action, thriller, sci fi. Cinematography shows character by the angle of the shot, if he's powerful (low angle shot.) as also the blocking on screen (in the middle, everything revolves around them.) Cinematography shows a narrative (the way the stories being told,) close up would show emotion Valerie's Letter. Eyeliner, both at the same level, both equal, Valerie is close to screen, focus of scene, basically all about Valerie, tracking pan, follows her shows it's all about Valerie, shallow focus to show her first lesbian experience, focuses on her first sexual experience to show the impact of her sexuality, frame rate, slow when happy, when the government takes over it speeds up, to show calm then sped up to show how the impact of the government affected them
