Blockbusters

Flop - a film that has made less money than their budget. Has to double the production and marketing budget. 
Franchise - 
Multiplex - chain of cinema. Multiple screens. Multiple viewings of the same film
Cinema budget - $150mil - $200mil (cinema and marketing budget are separate)

Special effects are used to influence the audience to go to the cinema rather than pirate the film.

Summery:
A film flop is a film that doesn't make twice the production budget (transcendence.) a franchise is a chain of films made by the same company with the same themes (the avengers.) a multiplex is a chain of cinemas, where you can view multiple films but are blockbusters. The film budget (between $150m - $200) however the production and marketing budget are different
