Children of Men Style, Theme, Genre mood board

Conclusion for COM

In V for Vendetta we have to take a side with V (freedom fighter or terrorist) or the government and the police (who are typically the heroes.) War is a nessessary way to resolve conflict. However, in Children of Men, there are rebels and the army. They both have selfish intentions, therefor it's not a 'good vs bad' situation in which the audience has to take sides, it's a 'war vs peace' situation in which we have to decide to be with or against the war

Cinematography shows a narrative (the way the stories being told,) close up would show emotion Valerie's Letter. Eyeliner, both at the same level, both equal, Valerie is close to screen, focus of scene, basically all about Valerie, tracking pan, follows her shows it's all about Valerie, shallow focus to show her first lesbian experience, focuses on her first sexual experience to show the impact of her sexuality, frame rate, slow when happy, when the government takes over it speeds up, to show calm then sped up to show how the impact of the government affected them
